Nancy Hiller's series of profiles of woodworkers introduces me to so many interesting people with so many different ways into their love of working with wood. They make so many different things: John Welch makes ravioli presses (and a beautiful toy chest, and an excellent chair for a teddy bear), Betty Scarpino makes magnificent carved works; Lance and Vicki Munn make beautiful, affordable cabinets.
Every time I read one of Hiller's pieces, I feel glad.
